Tax settings to be  completed based on country and its tax jurisdiction. One can define tax based on the tax applicable to their sales or produces. Move to Settings->Tax Settings and explore all menus. India based users need to complete Configure GST (India).  Adding customer types and expense types are needed while setting  Tax for generating GST based invoices.
